Correction for ~lovelylavi. Such a cute character you got!

I like the character but....I have a confession to make...I...didn't know for certain the gender OTL

FORGIVE ME.

So I went with male. That's why I made the chin less pointy, drew the shoulders a little wider and with muscle, angled the color bone and widened the mouth. But he's still in line with the original design.

A slight rant-ish thing for those willing....

Hey so I just thought I'd mention something that's been bugging me when viewing other people corrections.

With all of my corrections I make an effort to try my best to stay with the style of the original artist. I've noticed on some corrections that the Correctors tend to "correct" the artist's style. I feel that isn't right. We're not supposed to make them draw like us, we're supposed to help them draw correctly in terms of anatomy, composition, and color theory. For example "big eyes" is not necessarily wrong, especially for a manga related work. Maybe they were just angled or positioned wrong. So keep the big eyes but position them correctly. Unless they're like, so huge that it doesn't fit the head right. THEN that's when it needs to be corrected.

Correctors SHOULD be able to tell the difference between skill and style.

I try to mention when I do something that is of my own opinion that is not necessarily saying the original way was wrong, but is simply a suggestion of something I think would also look good, or maybe even a little better depending on the situation.

Not saying I know everything and have all the answers. Just my opinion.

Maybe I should do these things in a special color or something lol. Like...purple lol.
